USA Masters Track and Field

35th Annual San Diego State Aztec Track and Field Invitational
March 14-16, 2013
San Diego, California

Fellow Active Athletes:

Here's a college meet welcoming Masters to compete as Open competitors,
AND they're also offering a special 100 Meter race to showcase Masters Male sprinters.
(If we support this meet, I bet they'll add a race to highlight our fast Masters women next year!)
This special race is called the Flash100, and they're providing prize money.
Let's support this and help grow this great meet!
(San Diego in March sounds pretty good to me!)

Flash100 Showcase Masters Event - Complete Meet Information

The Mens Flash100 will be held in conjunction with the 35th Annual San Diego State Aztec Track and Field Invitational - March 14-16, 2013. Registration (actually invitation) for the Flash100 is separate from entry into our main meet through DirectAthletics. However, other masters athletes are welcome to enter the Open Section of our main meet or apply to compete in the Invitational Section if they meet the qualification standards. We're not really set up to handle non-NCAA masters throwing implements nor non-NCAA hurdle heights and spacing at our Invitational. We are also having a distance carnival on Friday night that may interest some Masters distance runners.

The Mens Flash100 Heats are scheduled for Friday, March 15 at 11:40 a.m. The finals will be conducted on Saturday, March 16 at 1:50 p.m.

The meet will be held at the Aztec Sports Deck on the corner of Montezuma Rd. & 55th St, San Diego, CA, 92182-4313. Directions and parking information are in Meet Information above.

I'm working with Kuba Wasowski, the Event Coordinator to clarify a few details in his materials, so there might be some minor clarifications later, to include items like the dates/times, location, how athletes submit an invitation request to meet management, entry fees, prize purse amount, progression from heats to finals, and so forth.
