Tour Package Fellow Active Athletes: Oceania is staging its WMA regional championship in Tahiti JULY 3 TO JULY 10, 2010. I am attaching a brochure and some housing and tour information, in case you know athletes who might be interested in going. It is a pricey trip, but having attended at least one Oceania championship, I can say that it is a lot of fun. For housing and/or package tours, feel free to contact Roy Skuse (roy@netfares.co.nz) who is a masters athlete and who also is a professional tour operator working in a professional tour company. He arranges sports tours at this agency for a number of sports and is highly recommended by several Aussies that I know, as well as by Bob Cahners. Even though he gives routing information for money transfers, his agency is willing to take credit card payments, with a 2% surcharge, because that is the additional amount that their bank charges them. And, of course, they prefer VISA, but will take other cards. I tried arranging the housing on my own and finally gave up and gave the responsibility to Roy, who has done a great job! "Great job!" means that he got me into the hotel which I wanted, when it seemed impossible to do get in. But...he does NOT control the prices...as I said, it is a pricey trip...but he will do the best that he can for you. and if you want very low-cost housing, just ask him about it.
